Diversified Consultants, Inc. is a family business started in 1982 by founder, Terry K. Underwood. Terry’s business acumen and personal skills enabled her to grow DCI from her initial client, managed from a stable house in Lawrence, Kansas, to a thriving organization responsible for the daily activities of more than a dozen national and international associations housed in a Central Office in Kansas City. Growth has come primarily from a foundation of client referrals, a source of great pride for all those associated with the company.

In 2011, Terry lost her battle with brain cancer, but with the knowledge she instilled in her associates, the business has continued to prosper under the management of her daughter and owner, Allison Burwell. 

Today, DCI’s staff of remarkable women continue Terry’s legacy through the high level of service and professionalism provided to our clients, giving volunteer leaders the time to manage their own businesses. DCI offers quality administrative services and unsurpassed value by uniquely approaching non-profit association management as if we were running a for-profit business.
